Assistant Accountant

Job Description

Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire our client is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their busy team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit an AAT qualified/studier with previous reconciliations experience who has a good understanding of accounting reconciliation techniques.

This role is responsible for the accurate reconciliation and review of various Sales Ledgers and Bank accounts within the business.

This renowned company is reputable within their sector and has grown rapidly with exciting expansion plans throughout the next few years. The business is known for looking after their staff and have a great reputation of developing their staff and are happy to help with further studies.

The successful individual will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines, within a busy fast-paced environment. They will have excellent accuracy and attention to detail and have experience of analysing and controlling large volumes of data. Advanced Excel and accounts package experience, ideally with NetSuite experience, is essential for this role.

Job responsibilities:

• Reconcile high volume Sales Ledger & Bank Accounts.
• Liaise with credit card companies and processing agencies, proactively resolving any differences.
• Liaise with colleagues in the field and Systems teams with respect to resolving queries and processing manual and missing vouchers.
• Cover for other members of the reconciliations team and perform other duties as required by Managers or Finance Directors
