Management Accountant

Job Description

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their successful team on a permanent and hybrid-working basis, being based in the office 4 days a week and 1 from home.

This job would suit an ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or strong QBE accountant with experience in a similar role, to be responsible for producing management accounts in accordance with group policies and procedures.

With a £65 million turnover who have recently been acquired by private investors and will be embarking on an aggressive growth journey to double their capability which will provide excellent career progression for the Management Accountant.

The successful individual will have experience working in a similar management accountant role, lead a team of 3 (Transactional), dealing with month end reporting ideally within a larger business and working to tight timescales. They will have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work, be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative. Advanced use of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and practical knowledge of Word, Outlook and Sage accounting software is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Production of monthly management accounts
• Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary
• Production of balance sheet and review of all balance sheet reconciliations.
• Treasury function - management bank accounts
• Revenue analysis on a monthly basis
• Collaboration with other departments to ensure financial goals met
• Support on other ad-hoc finance projects
• Management and development of AP/AR team
• Assisting in year end audits
• Supporting forecasting & budgeting
• Assist in development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
