About Brittany Ferries
Brittany Ferries is an award-winning transport provider with offices in three locations on the south coast including Dorset and Devon. Founded in 1972 by proud Breton Alexis Gourvennec and a group of fellow Breton farmers wanting to export their cauliflowers and artichokes to the UK. In 1976 their first route from St Malo to Portsmouth set sail and then just a year later they began to sell ferry-inclusive holidays. Fast-forward 50 years, Brittany Ferries is now the leading maritime carrier on the western and central Channel.
