Tender and Pricing Coordinator

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, we are working exclusively with our global market leading client who are seeking a Tender and Pricing Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

The job would suit a good problem solver with strong Excel skills to be responsible for ensuring accurate tender/quote documentation is supplied to the customer with effective application of pricing policies from within the business.

The job will take ownership of all tender enquiries for one important division in the Group with the need to liaise with Sales and Marketing to obtain relevant information essential for the completion of the tenders. Tenders can range from taking 2 weeks to 2 months to complete so attention to detail and organisational skills are critical.

The successful individual does not have to have previous tender or quotes experience but it would be advantageous. A strong customer services individual will be considered but good knowledge of Excel (Pivots and V Look-ups) is essential no matter the previous experience. Experience of working with the medical industry in any capacity would be advantageous as well. This individual will most likely have used larger order management systems such as Oracle or SAP in previous positions.

Duties will include:

  • Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
  • Co-ordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of key stakeholders in accordance with timescale following standard formatting and quality standards, in conjunction with tender instruction
  • Submitting tender documents and ensuring that bids and tenders are submitted with the correct information and prior to any set deadline
  • Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships, while encouraging open discussions through regular communications which contributes to continuous improvement opportunities.
  • To be the central point of contact for any queries / clarification during the tender process, including awareness of Terms & Conditions, challenging clauses, warranties, liquidity damages, retention’s, management fee’s etc. where appropriate.
  • Drives improved customer satisfaction and reports on issues.
