Compensation & Benefits Analyst

Based in Elstree, Hertfordshire, our global and innovative client is a seeking a Compensation & Benefits Analyst to join their busy team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit someone who can provide analytical support to the Head of Compensation & Benefits and MI to the Human Resources department. You will also help to deliver agreed C&B projects and annual pay cycle activities e.g. Annual performance related pay review, pay & benefit survey submissions, Gender Pay Gap, statutory returns etc.

The successful individual will have strong analytical skills required. This is suited for an individual who is self-motivated and will have effective communication and organisational skills. It is essential to have strong Excel skills e.g Pivot tables, Vlookup’s etc

Duties will include:

  • Ensure pay and bonus data held on the HR system is accurate and in the required format.
  • Analyse compensation data against compensation policies and grade ranges/ salary positioning guidance. Report issues, outliers and areas not following pay positioning guidance to the Head of Compensation & Benefits and HR Business Partners.
  • Help to resolve any pay issues identified
  • Devise and update the pay benchmarking spreadsheet.
  • Obtain data and accurately complete salary survey data submissions for survey providers within stated deadlines.
  • Build effective relationships with survey providers, keep abreast of any developments and update the Head of Compensation & Benefits.
  • Resolve data queries and answer survey provider queries.
  • Conduct market research where there are gaps in survey data.
  • Build master calculation spread sheets (Quarterly and annual bonuses).
  • Calculate quarterly and annual bonuses. Produce communication documents (Manager and Employee communications)
  • Obtain and calculate required pay and benefits totals by employee for the GPG submission, ready for checking.
  • Produce the master annual pay review spreadsheet, automating as much as possible with the use of formulas and macros.
  • Collate requests, produce the master spreadsheet, benchmark roles, identify any internal relativity issues and make recommendations
