Job Description

Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, our fast-growing client is looking for a Part Qualified or Qualified by experience Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis, based in their offices 5 days a week.

This job would someone who is a CIMA or ACCA studier or someone who is qualified by experience, to be responsible for providing essential support in various accounting functions and the wider team, contributing to the efficient operation of the finance department and reporting directly into the Finance Controller.

The successful individual will have efficient accountancy understanding, including experience with invoicing. They must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel is essential.

Duties will include:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Strong bookkeeping skills - must have knowledge of debits and credits
  • Confident Excel skills, primarily filtering, sorting, reporting on data extracted from our business system
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations.
  • Willingness to be hands on with all areas of the finance team to support as needed
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with invoice processing, including verification, coding, and data entry.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding account status and transactions.
  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
