Credit Controller

Job Description

Based in Watford, Hertfordshire our client is looking for a Credit Controller to join their well-established team on a permanent basis, based full time in the office.

This position would suit someone with proven credit control experience, to be responsible for minimising financial risk to the company by investigating and evaluating new and existing customers' creditworthiness.

This company are leading specialists in their industry and work globally, predominantly in Africa.

The successful individual be an experienced and analytical credit controller with good knowledge and dealing with multi-currency accounts. This person will be collaborative with good communication skills to liaise with other departments and teams. Excellent IT skills are essential, including Microsoft Office and Excel.

Duties include:

• Credit control - chasing overdue invoices multiple times a week across multiple different currencies and locations via email, phone calls, teams meetings.
• Business partnering with internal teams to resolve queries quickly and effectively.
• Posting and allocating customer receipts in multiple currencies.
• Uploading customer invoices into the system.
• Customer credit application forms.
• Dealing with customer queries, requests for statements, reconciliations.
• Raising and allocating customer credit notes.
• Amending customer credit limits.
• Debtors reconciliations.
• Input into weekly debtors meeting with key management.
• Updating exchange rates in internal sales programme.
• Assisting purchase ledger department with holiday cover and workload where necessary.
• Facilitating with the management and reconciliation of invoice discounting ledgers.
