Directors of Revenue Management prepare to meet at MRK Associates third industry roundtable

On Tuesday, 14th May, we’re looking forward to hosting our third Revenue Management Leadership Event, again at another iconic venue in London.

Our events are still highly original where we ask thought-provoking questions of revenue management directors from across the UK. We’ve addressed key issues that are current ‘hot potatoes’ in their environment that have included recruitment and retention, how revenue management needs to uplift its marketing and brand presence, the influence of AI and many more influential agenda items.

At our forthcoming meet, representatives from car hire and airlines will join us, so collectively, we will be asking questions and uncovering the answers to burning questions in the sector by talking in an open forum and extracting the thoughts of some of the industry’s stars. This time we’re delighted to have attendees from large corporate hotel Groups, PE-backed hotel management companies, holiday, car leasing and travel companies, and prestigious brand names – there is a spread and representation from members of this growing skill set.

It is rare to get so many senior personnel from many of the leading players in this industry around a table to discuss our topics, and we haven’t even discussed diary management! However, we managed it twice before so it shows what a positive event this is for everyone. We are looking forward to a packed day that helps to positively shape revenue management, not just today, but tomorrow and into the future.

Revenue management has proved itself to be a career destination now; there are University courses to ensure professionals of the future are taught the right content to be on track to guide hotels, car hire firms and airlines, for example. To help continually shape the future, this is our agenda on Tuesday, 14th May:

  • The growing importance of communication and stakeholder management skills within     Revenue Management
  • Revenue Managers having increased strategic involvement, where does it lead?
  • Where are systems and AI going and what will be the effect of this?
  • Should there be more of an exchange of Revenue Management ideas, skills and staff across industries?It’s not all work, work, work. We’ll be rewarding our attendees with lunch and then desserts prepared by the famous chef, Albert Adrià.

    We look forward to reporting back on the day’s findings.
