It is with great pleasure that I invite you to the latest Finance Director event in our series being held at 7.45am-9.45am on Tuesday 24th April at Ashridge Business School in Berkhamsted.
“GDPR Readiness for 25th May and Beyond”.
We appreciate this date is close to the deadline for GDPR so we will be assuming attendees understand the legislation already and we will look to focus on potential problem areas and the biggest challenges of GDPR for SME companies. We will make the event as interactive as possible to discuss any issues that companies are facing or worried may materialise over the next few weeks before we hit the deadline.
Our two speakers, Lindsey Healy – Partner at Ownet and Cathy Hindes – Owner of Slipstream HR Services have both been providing consultancy services to numerous clients on GDPR over the last few months although from different backgrounds – Lindsay the legal professional and Cathy the HR sector. They will offer our attendees different views and challenges they have seen within GDPR and some thoughts to overcome them.
Starting at 7.45am on Tuesday 13th April at Ashridge Business School, Berkhamsted, HP4 1NS.
The event will be a full English breakfast or Danish and croissants (your choice on the day) consisting of 30 minutes initial networking before the talks.
The talks will look at GDPR from two angles – a legal business standpoint and an HR internal employee view. Lindsay will look at some key broader business issues, e.g. Reducing the burden of rights requests, Controller/Processor relationships etc, what should have been done by 25th May and some of the challenges to implement them. Cathy will focus on key employee issues, e.g. Policies – where your “privacy statements” will be needed in employee documentation, When employee consent is required, What is categorised as Sensitive Data etc.
Please be aware that numbers are limited to 40 so please don’t delay on booking your place as we believe spaces will go quickly.
